Our Gender & Wellbeing Scan combines gender determination with a focused ultrasound assessment of your baby. We'll check your baby's heartbeat, movements, position and general appearance, while giving you the opportunity to see your baby and find out whether you're expecting a boy or girl.

This scan is a non‑diagnostic gender and wellbeing scan and does not replace your NHS anomaly scan, growth scans or hospital screening appointments. If you experience bleeding, severe abdominal pain, reduced movements, dizziness, fainting, or shoulder‑tip pain, please seek urgent medical attention through NHS 111, your GP, or A&E. If findings are unclear or concerning, you will be advised to attend your local NHS maternity unit for further assessment.
There is no special preparation required for your scan. You can eat and drink normally before your appointment. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your tummy.
From 16 weeks, a full bladder is generally not required. If you would like us to keep your baby's sex secret, please let our reception team know when you arrive.
