Please note: Foetal sex determination depends on your baby’s position and visibility at the time of the scan and cannot be guaranteed in every examination. This is a non-diagnostic scan and does not replace routine NHS antenatal care.
You may choose a Gender Reveal Scan if you:
Preparation is minimal, making the scan convenient and stress-free.
Eat and drink normally before your appointment.
No special preparation is usually required at this stage of pregnancy.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your abdomen.
Please have your pregnancy notes or relevant scan information available if requested.
If possible, have your scan in a comfortable, private area where you can easily view the ultrasound screen.
You are welcome to have your partner or family members present, subject to the space available and your sonographer’s guidance.
