Our Carotid Doppler Ultrasound Scan is a detailed assessment of the carotid arteries in the neck, which supply blood to the brain. This scan helps identify narrowing (stenosis), plaque formation, abnormal blood flow or early vascular changes that may increase the risk of stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA).
The scan uses high‑resolution ultrasound and colour Doppler to evaluate the structure of the carotid arteries, measure blood flow velocities and detect plaque or thickening of the arterial wall. It is suitable for patients with dizziness, visual disturbances, memory changes, cardiovascular risk factors, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or a GP‑recommended vascular review. The scan is performed in the comfort of your home, with a clear, structured medical report provided the same day.
